When you feel good mentally and physically, it raises your vibration. What other advice do you have for your fans and for anybody seeking to better their physical and mental selves? How do you think physical and mental health go together? Daily meditation and my ritual of gratitude each morning keep my positive mindset. If I can't remove the negative, I remove myself. I try not to let little things disrupt my happiness. My happiness and my mental health are very important! Happiness is a choice.
How does that factor into your whole regiment? Do you do anything specific? You have been very open about how important your mental and emotional health is. I keep it simple, I drink plenty of water and moisturize. I'm a gay man I have my lotions and potions, LOL. Now I do it to just maintain.ĭo you have a skincare and/or grooming routine? Yeah, I try to eat healthily and make healthy choices but I allow myself a cheat meal or two during the week.ĭo you follow an off/on-season diet and workout plan or are you more of a maintainer? I meditate and every morning I do a ritual of gratitude and say thank you to my guides and angels who are with me on my journey.Įverything is in moderation. It gave me faith in something when I needed it the most. God, our creator, Source, the Universe, however, you identify, if you identify is real. Mentally it was a kick in the spiritual nut sack. It has taken me almost two years to get to where I am now physically. How long has it taken you to get back into such great physical and mental shape? In my heart, I believe I was one of them. Though there are those people that are the exception to the rule, who have died but it wasn't their time. You live every day and you only die once. I focused on putting weight back on because I went from 220 pounds down to 169 pounds. Once the infection cleared, I got back into the gym. How did you start getting healthy again? What did you do? I was told by the doctors that the infection was so bad that they weren't sure how I was alive. I had a lot of time to reflect on what happened. No visitors, just me and the nurses and doctor that took care of me. I spent two months in the hospital at the height of Covid. The infection had reached my bloodstream causing me to pass out. The next day, while driving to a doctor's appointment, I blacked out and wrecked my car. I remember thinking to myself, "Is this Heaven?" A voice said, "Not yet," and I was back in my room. It was peaceful and I felt an enormous wave of love. I walked out of my bedroom one night and when I opened the door, I was floating in the most brilliant and beautiful white light.
I was running a high fever and I thought I had the flu. After the catheter was removed, I wasn't feeling well.
Unfortunately, when the catheter was put in, I got an infection that went septic. I had to wear a catheter for a week to be able to pee. I was suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia, which caused me to not be able to pee. Could you share with us how you believe that happened and the toll it took on your physical and mental health? You have been terribly honest about your health struggles in the past. After a few weeks, I saw my body changing and I was hooked. My fitness journey started when I was a senior in HS. My neighbor took me to the gym for the first time and I remember thinking how cool it was. Have you been into physical fitness your whole life? Give us a little history of your fitness journey.
